About the Build
Why a Tiny House?
There is a need for housing throughout the Seattle area. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI), works to help fill that need. One way they work to fill that need is through Tiny House Villages. In 2021 and 2023 congregations from ELF came together to build a tiny house to be placed in a village. The need is still there, so we are building another house in 2025. See the pictures below for images from the previous two builds.
About LIHI
From LIHI's website: "The Low Income Housing Institute develops, owns and operates housing for the benefit of low-income, homeless and formerly homeless people in Washington State and administers a range of supportive service programs to assist those we serve in maintaining stable housing and increasing their self-sufficiency."
